About Us

The Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) is a non-profit organization that executes public education programs aimed at cultivating kindness and graciousness in Singaporean society. It was officially launched in 1997. The movement serves as the successor to the Singapore Courtesy Council that oversaw the National Courtesy Campaign (Singapore) from the 80s through the 90s.

The SKM is a registered charity and Institution of Public Character.

Public campaigns - SKM develops creative messaging-based public education campaigns touching on a range of kindness-related topics, such as neighbourliness, online etiquette and general values education.

Partnerships - SKM also reaches out to partners from the public and private sectors to foster kindness in the community and at workplaces. This includes guiding these organisers by providing key insights and knowledge on how to better engage the community. SKM also has a dedicated Kindness@Work initiative which aims to
