About Us

The Singapore International Film Festival Ltd (SGIFF) is the largest and longest-running film event in Singapore. Founded in 1987, SGIFF focuses on presenting a cohesive programme of cutting edge international and Asian films annually.

Always at the forefront of independent filmmaking, SGIFF continues to be a platform for both established and aspiring filmmakers to showcase their films to an audience of local and international film buffs. It is also a discovery platform for bright young auteur filmmakers with its competition section and film lab programme.

Over the decades, SGIFF has grown to become an iconic event in the Singapore arts calendar.

Our Programmes

The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is known for its dynamic programming and commitment to the development of a vibrant local film culture. In line with this, SGIFF runs year-round educational programmes and initiatives to nurture and develop the next generation of filmmakers and youths.

Come join us for our 29th SGIFF Silver Screen Ball!

Be part of an enchanting evening as SGIFF presents a one of a kind event. Co-hosted by members-only club, 1880, expect the perfect blend of glamour, magic and silver screen glitz at the 29th SGIFF Silver Screen Ball. Walk the red carpet and be taken on a gastronomic and visual journey crafted by previous private chef to the Beckhams, Colin Buchan, paired with luxurious drams by Auchentoshan. To complete the multi-sensory experience, things might not be what they seem as illusionist Sean Borland makes the dining room into his stage.

As the lights dim, be enveloped in the mysteries of the night as the After Party kicks off. Each space in the club will conceal a unique surprise that will wow you with a different experience. One might conceal the smoky prospect-laden air of a New Orleans Jazz Bar, complete with an 8-piece band. Another, a sumptuous raw bar and charcuterie table worthy of Bacchus. You'll just have to come and explore for yourself. To find out more, email [email protected]
