About Campaign

PROJECT AWESOME: Dare to Dream aims to inspire young Singaporeans, especially girls, to dream big, aim high, and live their lives at their fullest potential.

We will do this by bringing to our schoolchildren the amazing stories of the Awesome Women of Singapore - the pioneering women who broke through the boundaries and shattered glass ceilings.

These women helped to shape Singapore. Their stories deserve to be told. Their stories will inspire young Singaporeans to challenge whatever limits they may face, to dare to dream, and to make these dreams come true.

Project Awesome is built around 'Awesome Women of Singapore', a children's book that will be launched in March 2021 at the next Singapore Women's Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The stories in the book are the stories of the 160 women in the Hall of Fame.

With your support for Project Awesome, we will be able to:
- Donate 5 copies of 'Awesome Women of Singapore' to every school and children's home
- Organise exhibitions, talks and other events where schoolchildren can learn more about and interact with the amazing women and other role models
- Produce lesson plans and interactive tools to help teachers use the stories to instil in students important core values and personal skills.

About the Charity

SCWO is now an IPC!

Following this, we are going to deregister the IPC status of 'SCWO - Service Fund' in the coming months. SCWO will continue with the current programmes and initiatives of 'Service Fund' under SCWO's name. You may wish to make your future donation at SCWO's new Giving.SG profile page. For the full notice, please visit www.scwo.org.sg.

SCWO is the national umbrella body of women organisations in Singapore. We are dedicated to the service of all women in Singapore and our objective is to Inform, Educate & Advocate. We work towards the ideals of 'Equal Space, Equal Voice and Equal Worth' for women in Singapore.

We launched the SCWO Service Fund, which is both a Charity and an IPC, on 31st March 2010 during our 30th Anniversary in Singapore. The Fund supports our key activities in these major categories:

1. Women in Need - Financial Assistance and Counselling.
2. Women's Rights - Financial and Social Security, Better Enforcement of Maintenance Orders, Review of the Women's Charter and Review of CEDAW.
3. Celebrating Women - Commemorate the contributions of our women to raising the status of women in Singapore.
4. Women's Progress and Development - Education and Skills Upgrading.
