Children's Day - A day where we hold significance to set aside time to celebrate the little ones by giving them extra attention just to see the smiles on their faces.

While fun and cheer is needed for positive well-being, the aspect of having quality conversations is as essential.

This Children's Day, our theme “Hearing Children's Voices” comes from the idea of highlighting the importance of making them feel heard - To not underestimate the impact of having deeper conversations regularly and addressing their emotions.

At Children's Society, we offer an array of programmes and services to reach out to children, like the Bully-Free Programme and Tinkle Friend just to name a few.

Findings from “Tinkle Friend*: Year in Review 2020” reported that there was a surge in online chats as compared to the previous year likely due to the circuit breaker. Some key issues the children faced were pertaining to friendships, bullying and barriers to social support.

We hear our children's voices #intheirownwords through our services and use it to guide the work that we do while championing the cause of bringing relief and happiness to children in need. We'll continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the children.

Every donation counts towards building a better future for our beneficiaries.

*Tinkle Friend is an anonymous online chat and helpline for all primary school children in Singapore manned by trained volunteers and staff.
