About Campaign

Stories keep us alive and allow us to dive deep into ourselves and connect us in a thread of empathy to one another.

In these times, books have become our windows to cultures and tales of hope in the safety of our homes. Like everyone around the world, we have also been affected by the pandemic. The impact on us and many other charities has been severe, in particular on donations that we rely on substantially to support our work.

However, despite the cancellations of many of our programmes and drop in donations, we remain committed to our mission of supporting writers. We are now charting new digital horizons by taking our programmes online. This will ensure the future of our stories, from children's books to poetry and fiction, and promote the local industry that bring these stories to us.

A few of our upcoming programmes include:
i) A series of online children's workshops in May;
ii) A virtual exhibition of the best children's book illustrations from around the world;
iii) A one-day digital children's festival in July;
iv) Awarding the prestigious Singapore Literature Prize, the nation's most important literary award;
v) Promoting the bookstores and publishers that provide SingLit to readers

We rely on your unstinting support to make our work possible during these challenging times. Please consider making a donation so that our homegrown writers will continue to write stories that connect us.

We thank you for believing in our mission.
