About Campaign
ends 30 Nov 2020, 11:59 PMOur Blind Colleagues were supposed to be use this event to show case their talents in various activities e.g. stage performance, massage experience and others. We had hoped that golfers and their guests will then use our clients for their own company functions as we want to help our visually handicapped clients to help themselves perhaps through employment for themselves using their talents.
However, we will still advocate for our blind clients to our corporate donors to possibly show case their talents at their D&D if the situation permits.
Meanwhile, your generous donation will help us to support programmes and services which are not funded, so that our blind clients can benefit. C-19 has caused us a drop in donations and so, every dollar helps so please give generously to our SAVH.
About the Charity
The Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), formerly known as the Singapore Association for the Blind (SAB), is the national voluntary welfare organization that serves and provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to the visually impaired. SAVH serves Singapore citizens and permanent residents of all age groups who must be certified with low vision (partial sight) or blind by an eye specialist or ophthalmologist. This includes people who are born blind as well as those who have lost their vision through accidents, illnesses or ageing. SAVH has over 4,000 registered clients ranging from infants to the elderly and has been providing these clients with eye care, rehabilitation, training, counselling, jobs and a place to belong to.
