About Campaign

Our intended SAVH Charity Donation Draw is to include Visually Handicapped clients of SAVH to be involved in fundraising. This will be a good avenue for our clients to understand the processes of obtaining funds so that the programmes and services organised by SAVH for their benefit requires commitment from everyone. This brings about accountability, buy-ins, kampung spirit to be 100% committed to the cause; where clients help clients, volunteers help clients, and donors working hand in hand with clients. Sadly, due to C-19 this intended Donation Draw cannot happen as we cannot go out, hence the event is cancelled and in place of it, an online donation via this crowdfunding (during this Festive Season periods, Xmas, New Year, Chinese New Year) will be the means to supplement the objective of getting in some funds to run our unfunded programmes for the visually handicapped. Happy Holidays and take care & stay safe, everyone!

About the Charity

The Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), formerly known as the Singapore Association for the Blind (SAB), is the national voluntary welfare organization that serves and provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to the visually impaired. SAVH serves Singapore citizens and permanent residents of all age groups who must be certified with low vision (partial sight) or blind by an eye specialist or ophthalmologist. This includes people who are born blind as well as those who have lost their vision through accidents, illnesses or ageing. SAVH has over 4,000 registered clients ranging from infants to the elderly and has been providing these clients with eye care, rehabilitation, training, counselling, jobs and a place to belong to.
