About Campaign

Food connects us. Strangers become friends over a hearty meal, and intimate moments are made sweeter over dessert. Since 2020, our appreciation for a heart-to-heart over a plate of chicken rice, quiet companionship over kopi, or raucous laughter over hotpot has grown immensely. As we continue to adjust our lives around the pandemic, it is important to check in with your loved ones over a meal.

Talking about mental wellbeing is challenging, so we need all of you to pitch in. During mealtimes with your friends & family, ask one another how you've truly been. Then, consider a donation to SAMH that matches the price of your shared meal.

If you own an F&B business, support SAMH by pledging a portion of profits or proceeds from a special menu item. Foodies help by supporting local home bakers, cafes and restaurants that partner with SAMH*. This will help to create healthy discussions surrounding mental health and create much needed education for the public.

Your generosity will go a long way, especially for those who do not have a safe space or trusted ones to share their struggles with.

Support mental health awareness,

Let's #Jiak2Give.

About the Charity

Your donation matters.

Your invaluable donation can empower and help our beneficiaries in their journey to recovery and mental wellness. With your kind support, we can continue to provide rehabilitative, outreach, and creative services and programmes to persons with mental health issues, and help them recover and reintegrate back into the community.

Your generous gift also counts in funding our efforts to raise public awareness about mental well-being and resilience, as well as reduce the social stigma, and promote acceptance and respect for persons with mental health issues.

Established in 1968, the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is a non-profit and non-government social service organization, a registered charity under the Charities Act and an approved Institution of Public Character (IPC). We have also been awarded the coveted Charity Transparency Award in 2018 & 2019 by the Charity Council.
