About Campaign

ends 18 Jul 2020, 11:59 PM
The Singapore government has enforced increasingly stringent social distancing measures to stem the spread of COVID-19. While all of us have distanced ourselves from people who hurt or disrespected us, or made us feel abandoned, few of us have ever experienced the current levels of social distancing.

But for our clients, our current reality has been their reality for years.

Mental health is still something that creates division and distance between people. In times of stress and illness, people need companionship and connectedness even more. Clients used to receiving care and support may not understand the new policy on social distancing and may be reminded of old wounds. There are also people beginning to experience loneliness and isolation, which can lead to depression, suicidal thoughts and other psychological conditions. Supportive connection and networks help to defeat stress and other life challenges.

Please support us, so that we can continue to stay connected and provide assistance to those who need help at this time.

Any excess funds raised from this campaign will be used to continue to support our programmes during this crisis.

About the Charity

Your donation matters.

Your invaluable donation can empower and help our beneficiaries in their journey to recovery and mental wellness. With your kind support, we can continue to provide rehabilitative, outreach, and creative services and programmes to persons with mental health issues, and help them recover and reintegrate back into the community.

Your generous gift also counts in funding our efforts to raise public awareness about mental well-being and resilience, as well as reduce the social stigma, and promote acceptance and respect for persons with mental health issues.

Established in 1968, the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is a non-profit and non-government social service organization, a registered charity under the Charities Act and an approved Institution of Public Character (IPC). We have also been awarded the coveted Charity Transparency Award in 2018 & 2019 by the Charity Council.
