Help More Seniors Age Actively - President's Challenge Silver Volunteer Fund
About Campaignends 23 Aug 2017, 12 AM
Our population is ageing rapidly. In 2015, 1 in 9 Singaporeans was 65 or older. By 2030, it will be 1 in 4 with over 900,000 seniors. As the nation faces an unprecedented ageing population, we encourage more seniors to volunteer their time, talent and skills to contribute to society.
The Silver Volunteer Fund was initiated by President Tony Tan Keng Yam in 2015 to promote seniors volunteerism. The fund aims to recruit another 50,000 senior volunteers by 2030.
"Active aging is simply to be engaged in life. And if you ever fell that you've grown old and dull, the best way to get over this feeling is to get up and do something useful. In giving and doing good, our spirits are also uplifted." - Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam
100% of your donations will go towards promoting senior volunteerism through: - Volunteer programmes, Recruitment, Training and Recognition of volunteers. All donations have a dollar-to-dollar matching by the government, capped at $20 million. Support the Silver Volunteer Fund by donating today!

The President's Challenge is an annual community outreach and fundraising campaign for beneficiaries selected every year by the President's Office. It is a call to all Singaporeans in doing their part in building a more caring and inclusive society. Initiated in 2000 by former President S R Nathan, the Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life, to help the less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social entrepreneurship. Visit pc.org.sg to find out about the beneficiaries supported by the President's Challenge.
