SHINE Children and Youth Services, formerly known as Students Care Service (SCS), has been serving underprivileged children and youths with learning and socio-emotional difficulties in Singapore since 1976. We remain committed to enabling them to overcome their challenges and maximise their potential. We do this through providing services in schools, in the community and through our centres, for children and youths who are in need of support, disadvantaged by their circumstances or present at-risk profiles. SHINE strongly believes that every child and youth has the potential to achieve and be contributing members of our society. We serve around 5,000 students, aged 5-21 years old, each year. We aim to: ++ positively develop them with Competence, Confidence and Character ++ facilitate them to form meaningful Connections with their family and the society ++ nurture in them a Care for others ++ guide them to Steer clear of crimes while being Positively engaged in school.
