About Campaign
ends 15 Oct 2018, 11:59 PMMore than just aches and pains, many Rheumatological conditions occur when the immune system is no longer your friend and starts attacking major organs (e.g. joints, heart, lungs, kidneys, gut, skin, brain and nerves). In Singapore, close to 600,000 people suffer from Rheumatological conditions. Some of these can be life-threatening.
Singapore General Hospital's Department of Rheumatology & Immunolology is organising a public awareness and fundraising event, "Swim for Rheumatology! 2018" on 15 September 2018. Join us by raising awareness on Rheumatological conditions and raising funds in support of Rheumatology research.
We would be most grateful if you could support our cause by making a donation. Net proceeds raised from this event will go towards the Reverie Rheumatology Research Fund (endowed) in support of research initiatives in five Rheumatological conditions - Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Systemic Sclerosis, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Spondyloarthritis. Funds raised will be used to expedite and fund novel research that will make an impact to patients' health. With our team of dedicated clinician-scientists, clinicians and research support professionals, we hope to accelerate discoveries and uncover cures to improve the lives of patients suffering from these conditions.
