About Campaignends 31 Oct 2022, 11:59 PM
Thalassaemia is an inherited blood disorder which is caused by an abnormal gene. A person with thalassaemia is unable to produce normal, functioning haemoglobin in the blood. In SGH, we have a specialist Thalassemia Clinic with a dedicated multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses and social workers.
Join Haematology nurses Mashita, Habib, Marlinda and Rose Ann as they run 100km in support of the B.R.I.E.F which support patients with blood disorders including Thalassemia.
The Blood Research, Innovation and Education Fund (B.R.I.E.F) supports initiatives led by dedicated clinicians, researchers and educators to study blood disorders and its treatment as well as train future generations of healthcare providers. Gifts to B.R.I.E.F will impact many patients and their families in Singapore and beyond.
100% of your gift will go towards uncovering novel treatment approaches, enable better understanding of the science behind blood diseases, and improve programmes for our patients and caregivers.
There is no amount too small. What's more - double the impact on your giving as gifts to BRIEF may be presented for 1:1 government matching.
Eligible donations also will enjoy 250% tax deduction that are automatically included in the donor's IRAS tax assessment. If you need a hard copy receipt, please email us at [email protected]
