ends 31 Dec 2023, 11:59 PM67-year old Mdm Salbiah is single, and suffering from advanced stage chronic kidney disease. The only way to stay alive is to undergo haemodialysis regularly. Being an only child with no immediate family, she is currently staying with her cousin's daughter and family in a three-room HDB flat.
Due to her health condition, she is unable to continue working. Her monthly CPF payout can only meet her basic daily expenses and she cannot afford the dialysis treatment costs.
With the help of the SGH Needy Patients Fund, Madam Salbiah is alleviated of her interim dialysis cost.
