Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic, will be operating a new clinic at block 23 Dover Crescent by the first quarter of 2016.
The clinic will have a capacity to service 2,000 patients a month, serving residents from Dover, Khim Moh, Holland, Commonwealth, Queenstown, North Buona Vista area, etc.
After one year of preparation, construction work has begun, following a ground breaking ceremony held at 10 am on 23 September 2015.
We hope that construction work will be carried out as per planned and to complete the installation of various equipment on time for operations in quarter one of 2016.
With the opening of Dover Branch, we will be closing the Rehabilitation Centre at Indus

About the Charity

SBFC provide subsidized health care services for the sick and needy. We operate seven TCM clinics in Singapore with 40 certified practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our staff comprising mainly clinic assistants, clerks and administrative staff, working three shifts to provide services and support to our patients. Average patient visits per day is about 1,000. Our patients received 300 thousand times of free consultation during latest year. Our estimated annual operating cost is about $7 million fully supported by public donations/government grants. We started a TCM Cancer Treatment Centre at Level 3 of the main clinic since 2012. We are planning to open a new clinic at East Side of Singapore in 2018/2019. All qualified donations to the medical fund are tax-exempted.
