About Campaign

It's been 3 months since little Astrid was found at a construction site with severe injuries. Her bones were broken and protruded out of her skin. She would've died if we had been a few hours late in rescuing her.

She was referred to an emergency clinic who specializes in treating cases like Astrid's. We were hopeful that Astrid would not only survive - the vets had recommended several complicated surgeries, in hopes to not only save her life, but also save both the legs that she had broken.

The last 3 months has been gruelling, with some good days and some bad days. Some days it had seemed like amputation of one of the legs was necessary, but the vets had pressed on with treatment, in hopes of giving Astrid the best quality of life in future. With such horrendous injuries, infection was something that had to be manage carefully. Just as she's getting better on her legs on some days, another surgery was necessary to remove the plates to reduce the risk of infection.

Due to the complexity of the treatment, Astrid had to be warded at the hospital this entire time. It's a huge sum of money, but we know it will be worth it, the day Astrid recovers fully and is able to walk comfortably on all fours without needing assistance.

Astrid is just 9 months old, and has already been to the brink of death and back. This wouldn't have been possible if not for you, our amazing supporters. We would like to appeal for your help once more, so that we're able to pay for her medical bills.
