Larky spent a couple of days at the vet after sterilization, before he came to shelter.
A few days after arriving at shelter, Larky suddenly stopped eating, and became very weak. When we brought him back to the vet, his blood count was dangerously low, at 9%. He needed an emergency blood transfusion, and aggressive treatment to keep him alive.
Thankfully, he responded well, and after a few days of intensive care at the clinic, Larky was fit enough to be discharged.
At the shelter, we are happy to see Larky opening up to us, and feeling better each day. He is still undergoing treatment for babesia, a dangerous type of tick fever, and may still need some time and a few more vet visits to fully recover. Nevertheless, things are looking up for him and we are thankful that we managed to seek treatment for him in time.
The vet bills incurred so far is at $4300, and we are looking to raise $5000 for him to cover for the upcoming vet visits as well.
Please share Larky's story!
