About Campaign

ends 14 Dec 2022, 11:59 PM
Since 2015, SOS has begun life-changing conversations around suicide prevention, encouraging those in need to seek the right support. From our #howru iconic black plasters in 2015 and 2016, to talking about it in 2017 so that suicide is not trivialised, hurting those struggling with it or left behind because of it. In 2018 - 2020, #HopeThroughTheNight turned a hashtag into a platform of hope through community encouragement. Last year, we shone the light on reaching out and seeking help, regardless of gender.

In 2021, through the #HonestCookieSG campaign, our hope is that all of Singapore will open up about how we're truly feeling inside. The more we get real with one another through honest sharing, the easier it is to talk and reduce the stigma about mental health issues in Singapore. We want to continue encouraging everyone to check in and be there for one another through honest conversations. You can do your part to help fund honest conversations today . Your donation will support the production of more Honest Cookies for the community and more people can break the silence around mental health in Singapore.

Thank you for your generous donations. Every dollar counts and will help move us closer to providing relevant programme and services to those thinking of or affected by suicide.

We also welcome your donations via orders of Honest Cookies. Kindly contact [email protected] for more details.

About the Charity

On average in Singapore, more than 408 lives were lost to suicide annually from 2015 to 2020: that's about 1-2 suicides every day.

According to the WHO globally, for every suicide death, more than 20 others would have attempted it.

Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) is the only suicide prevention centre in Singapore. We are a secular non-profit organisation which provides 24-hour confidential emotional support to people thinking about suicide, affected by suicide, or who have difficulty coping during a crisis. We take a holistic approach to suicide work with an emphasis on suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
