About Campaign
ends 31 Oct 2018, 11:59 PMOur distinguished Guest-of-Honour will be Her Excellency, President Halimah Yacob. She is an active champion for senior volunteerism and it is indeed a morale booster for us to have her as the Guest-of-Honour. Her support will lead to more seniors who will become encouraged and motivated to step forth as active volunteers.
As befits the significance of our 20th Anniversary, our target is to raise a total of at least $1,000,000 in support of RSVP's mission to provide opportunities for seniors to serve the community with their talent and experience through purpose-driven volunteerism. This is by far our most ambitious fundraising target.
All proceeds will go towards the growth of RSVP's programmes in number, breadth and depth. Our programmes already benefit the mentally disadvantaged, at-risk children from low income families, socially isolated seniors and elderly discharged patients from our public hospitals. Our Volunteer Learning Centre has also done pioneering work in volunteering skills and helped to bridge the IT divide for seniors.
About the Charity
RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers is an Institution of Public Character and the National Centre of Excellence for Senior Volunteerism under the patronage of Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore.
Established in October 1998, our vision is to make every senior a volunteer. To achieve this, our mission is to develop senior volunteers and provide meaningful opportunities to serve the needs of the community.
We currently have over 2,500 volunteers serving more than 200,000 beneficiaries each year including the mentally disadvantaged, at-risk children from low income families and socially isolated seniors through our community service programmes.
