About Campaign

I am Tay Yong Hung, 72 years old. I volunteered at Rainbow Centre's Yishun Park campus from 2018 to 2020 and had a fulfilling experience supporting the students with disabilities. In 2018, I started my first Rainbow Walk connecting all the Rainbow Centre campus from Margaret Drive to Woodlands, to the forthcoming new campus at Admiralty Lane and finally to Yishun. To me, it signifies there is always a Rainbow for each of the children at the Centre.

2022 is a significant year as we celebrate RC's 35th Anniversary. I am glad to dedicate my 5th Rainbow Walk to RC35. However, I am not able to walk the full 40+kms between all campuses due to my worsening knee condition. As I try my best to complete my 5th walk from the new campus at Admiralty to Yishun Park, I hope to get generous support from past and new donors.

I hope to raise awareness, encourage volunteerism and raise funds to enhance the quality of life of persons with disabilities and their families.

Through kind donations, I raised over $6,000 in 2018 and 2019 and more than $8,000 in 2020 and $9,300 in 2021. This year, I hope to raise $10,000 to celebrate Rainbow Centre's 35th Anniversary. Your donation allows RC to support low-resource families, further develop RC's work and enable them to lead thriving lives.

About the Charity

At Rainbow Centre, we envision a world where persons with disabilities are empowered and thriving in inclusive communities.

We work with our partners to create opportunities for persons with disabilities to make the most of their abilities and participate meaningfully in society. Through practical education, meaningful support and useful training programmes, we strive to increase the quality of life for them and their families.

Registered as a charity in 1992, Rainbow Centre is an Institution of a Public Character.
