About Campaign

ends 06 Nov 2022, 11:59 PM
Into its 29th year, the President's Star Charity 2022 is a two hour live TV show that features a variety of local and international performers, all motivated to raise funds for the 82 benefitting agencies of the President's Challenge. These organisations help children and families at risk, provide mental health services, funding for rehabilitation programmes, as well as support and care for persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The them of this year's show is 'Small Actions, Big Changes' because we believe that every effort to reach out and help, no matter how small, can result in big, meaningful changes in the lives of those in need.

About the Charity

The President's Challenge started in 2000 and represents a coming together of people from all walks of life, under the President's patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. It is the President's call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society.

While fundraising continues to be at the heart of President's Challenge, the campaign has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time, skills and talent for the less fortunate. President now seeks to play a bigger role in nurturing stronger communities by expanding support for programmes beyond the social service sector and to encourage the young and elderly population to be involved in community work.

Under the leadership of President Halimah Yacob, President's Challenge is looking into more customised and upstream support to help the most vulnerable change their circumstances through skills upgrading, capacity building and empowerment.
