About Campaign

A MILE FOR A SMILE (AMFAS) is an annual charity run to raise funds for our cause in providing financial aid and social support to patients suffering from cancer and/or life-long blood disorders, as well as children and youths from low-income families. Our financial assistance addresses their medical and transport needs, and schooling needs, respectively. The main purpose of this run to gather the community to rally our support and fight along the beneficiaries in this journey through the act of running.

Mohamad Syabil, 17, is one of our beneficiaries who has been diagnosed with severe Haemophilia A since birth. Due to a complication when he was younger, he has restricted mobility and is bedridden. Since birth, he has also undergone several major brain surgeries.

Like Syabil, many of our children's beneficiaries with blood disorders require lifelong treatments and even surgeries. This often takes a huge financial toll on their families, which has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 situation. Through these difficult times, Promisedland Community Services has continued to provide financial aid and socio-emotional support to an increasing number of beneficiaries, including families, children, and youths.

About the Charity

After 18 years in the community, PCS has been helping many cancer patients and their family members. We provide them with free transport to hospitals for their treatments and also monthly medical subsidies. We also help children and youths from low income or single parent families in their school work and also character building. We have seen children who were doing badly in their studies improve and growing in their self confidence. We hope to continue providing our services to those who are in need.
