About Campaign

Initiated by City Developments Limited (CDL) and held in conjunction with Singapore's Climate Action Week, the 3rd edition of Youth4Climate continues to provide youths in Singapore a platform to express their passion for the environment and aspirations for a sustainable future for all. Youth4Climate is one of CDL's flagship outreach programmes in support of climate action, achievement of the UN SDGs, and youth advocacy.

Featuring a diverse line-up of dance, song and instrumental performances, this year's Youth4Climate: A Concert for Climate Change strives to encourage and empower young green advocates to take meaningful, impactful and positive actions towards building a sustainable world. Key messages on climate action will be weaved in throughout the virtual performances.

As part of CDL's efforts towards building a cohesive and caring society, CDL is pleased to support the 2020 President's Challenge through Youth4Climate: A Concert for Climate Change. All proceeds raised at the concert will help fund the various welfare beneficiaries supported by the President's Challenge, covering various sectors from children & family services, healthcare & eldercare, disability services and rehabilitation of ex-offenders.

About the Charity

The President's Challenge is an annual community outreach and fundraising campaign for charities selected every year by the President's Office. It is a call to all Singaporeans in doing their part in building a more caring and inclusive society.

Initiated in 2000 by former President S R Nathan, the Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life, to help the less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social
entrepreneurship.

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment. Visit http://www.pc.org.sg/WhoWeSupport to find out about the benefiting organisations supported by President's Challenge this year. 100% of the donations received go towards the charities we support.
