About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

I used to detest distance running, but running has played a crucial role in restoring my fitness and hope after a freak stonefish envenomation in 2010. Running has provided an otherwise introverted me with an avenue to connect with myself, my God and the people around me. Everyday I wake up, I remind myself that I don't have to run, but I get to do it. It's a gift, and there's no better way to celebrate a gift than to use it with gratefulness.

This year we celebrate life and the gifts of good health and well-being. There are however many individuals whose outlook into the future is bleak and nothing to celebrate about. You can make a difference in the lives of beneficiaries supported by President's Challenge, perhaps spark the hope that they need to pick themselves up and carry on. Please lend your support by donating generously to make their tomorrows full of hope. Who knows? They might one day be the spark of hope in someone else's life.

About the Charity

Initiated in 2000 by former President S R Nathan, the Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life, to help the less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
