Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.
Running has always been my passion and I have been running for many years. I have also inspired many to take up running as a sport for a healthy lifestyle. Running is easy and you can do it anywhere. Running is not about winning, we run together to motivate each other to complete the extra distance. One thing I like about running is doing relays as it involves the effort of the whole team. Some of the relays I have done include Sundown Ultra Marathon, SCG Ultra Ekiden, Mizuno Ekiden and Asics relay. This is the first time I am doing such a large scale relay that involves 200 runners to conquer 2000km over 8 days. I have also roped in some of my running buddies as well as my wife to be part of this event and to make it a success. Join me and my fellow 199 runners in Relay Majulah to give back to our society and build a nation that truly cares.

In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social
In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
