About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

I work as a Software Engineer and when I was a Normal Tech student, I had faced many criticisms during those years. I later progressed to ITE, Polytechnic and then finally University. Those days were the most challenging times of my life but at the end of the day, if we persevere till the end of each challenge, the results will always be rewarding. It doesn't matter what people say you are, you just got to believe that you are not what they defined you to be. As a volunteer myself, I coach people from Special Olympics of Singapore on distance running. I hope our society can accept our friends with special needs and disabilities and take a step further to embrace them for who they are. This relay will have a 200 runners team to conquer 2000km over 8 days to raise funds for 67 supported charities under President's Challenge. Not everyone is born with the same calibre and background but as we come forward to run for the 67 charities, we hope that with your small gestures and donations, we can bring Singapore towards a more inclusive and welcoming society.

About the Charity

Initiated in 2000 by former President S R Nathan, the Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life, to help the less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
