About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

I am a social entrepreneur by day, and a dreamer by night. I dream of the future where an inclusive future is within our reach, and that starts with having more awareness and taking the first step. This is the reason why I am taking the first step to embark on this challenging run - in hopes that it will encourage more people to do their part for a more caring and inclusive future.

Ever since my injury in 2016 where I tore my patella tendon, quad tendon, MCL, ACL, PCL, and LCL (basically almost everything in my left knee), I have not been running. But what really motivated me to take part in this relay is the cause behind it. I am inspired by my brother & his positive outlook in life. Despite having a disability (William Syndrome), he lives his life to the fullest every day.

To train for Relay Majulah and bring my 10km run to 60 minutes will be a challenge but I am determined to be able to do it. I hope to encourage others to also play a part in reaching out a hand to build a more inclusive Singapore together. - Ryan Ng (Co-Founder, Society Staples)

In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
