Run It Forward 2022 with LKCMedicine is a virtual run proudly organised by Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The School aims to pay it forward and help the disadvantaged communities in Singapore through its support of President's Challenge 2022 (PC2022) and its 82 beneficiaries. With the ongoing pandemic, PC2022 recognises that families in need, especially lower-income families have been disproportionately impacted due to their vulnerability to economic conditions. LKCMedicine is proud to support PC2022's focus of 'Supporting Lower-Income Families'. The virtual run will also support NTU Priorities Fund which was established in 2020 to help students affected by Covid-19.

Participants of the run will have a 3-month period to clock their committed distances through walking or running. Through this, LKCMedicine hopes to highlight the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through the adoption of enjoyable and healthy exercise.

About the Charity

The President's Challenge started in 2000 and represents a coming together of people from all walks of life, under the President's patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. It is the President's call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society.

While fundraising continues to be at the heart of President's Challenge, the campaign has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time, skills and talent for the less fortunate. President now seeks to play a bigger role in nurturing stronger communities by expanding support for programmes beyond the social service sector and to encourage the young and elderly population to be involved in community work.

Under the leadership of President Halimah Yacob, President's Challenge is looking into more customised and upstream support to help the most vulnerable change their circumstances through skills upgrading, capacity building and empowerment.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
