About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

I am a sales executive in the semiconductor industry. When I was young, I did not like any form of exercise. As such, I was overweight at 80kg with high cholesterol. In 2015, I was determined to start light jogging and to eat healthily to bring my weight down, and I did. I went down to 65kg in 6 months' time. I realised that it is not difficult to slim down but the tougher part would be the journey to maintain a routine of regular exercises and healthy diet routine. It takes discipline and will and I am glad I have done it, and will continue to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

It's a challenge for me not just to run but to complete it. But I am determined to do so, for a good cause. I am also inspired by the coming together of many runners from all walks of life, taking part in Relay Majulah to help others in need by fundraising and by creating awareness for the many social needs in our society.

In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
