About Campaignends 31 Dec 2019, 11:59 PM
I have been in the electronics industry for more than 20 years, covering the South Asia Region. I started running 5 years ago after 15 years of inactive lifestyle. I realized that I was being overrun my by then 9-year old son, Rayson. This was a wake up call for me as I rethink about my fitness and how I can grow old, and yet, still be able to take care of my 4 young children, my 4 parents and my wife. This mindset change brought me on to a more active and healthier lifestyle. From a naive overweight "uncle" runner struggling to complete 5km distance walk-run race to coming in as Champion at Cameroon Ultra (Cultra) 2019 55km Veteran Category recently, I can strongly shout out to everyone that dreams do come true if you believe and work hard for it.
To me, running is a gifted ability and being given the opportunity to participate in Relay Majulah is an honor. I hope to create awareness that whichever society we live in, be it wealthy or poor, there will still be people who need our help in one way or another. Let's all come together, to make a difference together.
