About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

I am the founder and director of Foreword Coffee, a company that trains and hires persons with disabilities, special needs, and mental health conditions. Foreword Coffee has been in business more than 2 years now, and we are picking momentum. It feels good to see how our team of differently-abled persons can work together at the cafes, and our cafe managers truly believe in the company's mission to realize the potential of the differently-abled, and they take ownership in their work. Our managers are usually those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, and they lead a crew consisting of those with autism, mild intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, and those in recovery from mental health conditions.

I think being able to have start a company and running it for more than 2 years is a feat. I hope to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs amongst us, to do a business not just for the money but also to create social good. I am happy to participate in Relay Majulah where we can run for a good cause, run for others and run for a more caring & inclusive Singapore.

In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social

In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
