Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.
In 2010, I was knocked down by a bus while crossing a road during my regular run. I suffered serious injuries and was given a 30% chance of survival. I was told by the doctor then to give up on running because it would be too strenuous on the body. I chose to pursue my passion for running nonetheless and since then, I've shed sweat, blood, and tears; logged thousands of kilometers, ruined dozens of pairs of shoes and socks, and even got the chance to be a race pacer. I'm thankful I didn't give up on myself and that my love for running was (and still is) strong enough to keep me going every day. I hope that through my participation in Relay Majulah, we can unite as one community to make our country a better home for all to live in and more importantly, to encourage many others to not give up. For it is truly in adversity that we become stronger, better. Support me in making a difference and your donations will go a long way in uplifting lives. - Kuo Simin
