About Campaignends 31 Dec 2019, 11:59 PM
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.
About Jeffrey Low
Jeffrey Low is a Presenter with Mediacorp (Hello Singapore). Jeffrey is also a versatile bilingual actor who is actively involved in cross-cultural, cross-language, cross-media performances.
Singapore is a place I call, Home. Having lost my parents and been through financial hardship at a young age, I learnt and choose to see the positives from life situations. It was also because of the community of care around me, I emerged a stronger, better person despite the tough times. Through my participation in Relay Majulah, I hope to pay it forward and to inspire more people to come forward to join me in showing love, care and compassion to those around us and those in need. Do support me in this campaign. Your donation means a lot to the less privileged and will go a long way in empowering them to lead dignified lives. - Jeffrey Low
About the Charity
The President's Challenge started in 2000 and represents a coming together of people from all walks of life, under the President's patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. It is the President's call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society.
While fundraising continues to be at the heart of President's Challenge, the campaign has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time, skills and talent for the less fortunate. President now seeks to play a bigger role in nurturing stronger communities by expanding support for programmes beyond the social service sector and to encourage the young and elderly population to be involved in community work.
Under the leadership of President Halimah Yacob, President's Challenge is looking into more customised and upstream support to help the most vulnerable change their circumstances through skills upgrading, capacity building and empowerment.
