Jeremy Har, aged 22, was diagnosed with autism when he was 6 years old. After entering Autism Resource Centre (Singapore)'s Employability & Employability Centre (E2C), Jeremy was enrolled in the Sewing & Embroidery class where he learnt the skill of craft making which helped him earn an income for the products he made. In time, E2C hopes that Jeremy will eventually progress to open employment.

The Empowering For Life Fund supports individuals like Jeremy across 13 organisations who support vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity building and employment. The fund focuses on supporting customised, dedicated services to the most vulnerable groups and facilitate their integration into society and handhold them on their journeys to improve their circumstances.

As the saying goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". By nurturing every individual to be empowered with the relevant skills set for the work environment elevates them a step nearer to their dream.
