About Relay Majulah
Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.

Running has a special place in my heart. As a child, I was ostracized for being the slowest runner in my class and I yearned to be able to catch up to my peers. In my teenage years, I discovered that while I couldn't run as fast as my classmates, I was able to run further than most of them. Over time, I represented my school in distance runs and even won medals. I gave up distance running when I entered University and stopped for over 2 decades as I got busy with my career and started a family. Several years ago, I joined a 10K race that my firm sponsored and discovered to my surprise that I was able to complete it in a reasonable time. I started training again in earnest and over time, have even made it back onto the podium in some masters' races.

By participating in Relay Majulah, I hope to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities - to uplift and empower lives of many in need. Above it all, I hope to inspire others to know the nothing is impossible, and that if we keep the faith, miracles can happen. - Chan Wei Hsien
