Relay Majulah is a ground-up initiative to form a 200-runners team to conquer 2,000km over 200 hours (2-10 Nov 2019) to raise funds for President's Challenge and its 67 supported charities; and to commemorate Singapore's 200 years. It also aims to unite the community, for the community; and tell the inspiring stories of people with indomitable spirit, who live life to the full and live life without limits.
I work in Singapore Police Force and am a proud Singaporean. Proud because of what we have achieved over the years bearing in mind we neither have resources nor hinterland to support our growth. We depended on strong leadership to guide us to where we are today. No easy task especially when we are a multi-racial society. Proud also as we live harmoniously and show respect for each other.
My motivation to take part in this relay has got to do with three reasons. Firstly, it is a historic moment for Singapore, coming a long way since 200 years ago. Secondly, to be part of the 200 strong runners and to run in a non-stop relay for 200 hours for 8 days culminating to the live broadcast of the President's Star Charity - is an honour. Finally, to meet fellow like-minded runners excites me. I hope that through my participation in Relay Majulah, every Singaporean can be made aware of the challenges that other fellow Singaporean are facing.

In 2012, under the leadership of former President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising by including volunteerism and social
In 2018, President Halimah Yacob announced a $10 million fund (Empowering For Life Fund) which will empower vulnerable groups through skills upgrading, capacity-building and employment.
