Playeum strives for a world of inclusiveness, where every child of any socio-economic background and ability can play side-by-side without fear of judgement through the PIF fund.

Playeum works closely with community partners such as Family Service Centres (FSCs), Children's Home & Child Protection Services to ensure that children from marginalized backgrounds and as well as children with special needs have the space and time to play creatively. This is done through the support of the Play It Forward fund which supports all components of our hands-on STEAM programme for children and is free for our community partners.

Through open-ended play, children become masters of their own worlds where creating, exploring, conquering fears, negotiating, making decisions and resolving conflicts become second nature. Providing this physical space empowers children and allows them to step forward to become contributing global citizens.

About the Charity

Playeum is an independent charity organisation (IPC) that creates equal opportunities for children in Singapore to develop creativity and confidence through play and the arts. In particular, we work with children from marginalised backgrounds and children with varying disabiities.

We hold safe and non-judgemental spaces for children to have a voice and be heard, as well as to build 21st century life skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Through this, children are empowered to thrive and be the best versions of themselves.

Our work also supports adults in becoming powerful creative facilitators for children as we shift mindsets to seeing children as creative and competent. Over the past year, we have reached out to more than 2,200 children and adults through our impact work. We work with parents, social workers, volunteers and educators.

Support our cause with a donation here today. Your support enables our work with children, to level the playing field.

Every donation dollar will be matched 1-for-1 through the National Arts Council Cultural Matching Fund.
