About Campaignends 30 Nov 2019, 11:59 PM
Tonight, we celebrate "Words Without Walls", a partnership with Edipresse SINGAPORE that furthers Playeum's work through the arts with children from marginalised backgrounds.
Funds raised support:
Playeum's Play-It-Forward Programme
A sponsorship and donation programme that supports admission for children from marginalised backgrounds to the Children's Centre for Creativity.
Playeum works with children from at-risk backgrounds through tailored programmes that enhance social emotional development. Through these programmes, Playeum strives for long-term impact by inspiring children to take charge of their own circumstances and meet their fullest potential.
An artful play-based programme for children with varying disabilities.
Proceeds will also support Playeum's overall social impact work with outreach, training and research.
About the Charity
Playeum is an independent charity organisation (IPC) that champions children through play, creativity and the arts. We advocate for children's voices and the development of crucial 21st century skills such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and more, through the play and the arts.
We run the Children's Centre for Creativity, currently located at the serene settings of Gillman Barracks. The Centre is opened to ALL children regardless of socio-economic backgrounds and abilities. Children from marginalized backgrounds and as well as children with special needs come in for free under our Play-It-Forward fund (a sponsorship and donations fund).
Through our deep-impact programmes and outreach that enhance social-emotional learning and confidence building, we work closely with children under our community partners such as Family Service Centres (FSCs), Children's Home & Child Protection Services, and as well as children with special needs to ensure that all children have the space and time to play creatively.
