How Your Donation Makes a Difference

About Us

PERTAPIS was registered under the Societies Act in 1970. It is an approved organisation under the Charities Act, Cap 37 and has also been conferred the status of an Institution of Public Character (IPC), IPC No: IPC000455 and can issue a tax-exempt receipt for donations.

The principal activity of PERTAPIS is the running of welfare projects which are designed to address some of the social problems faced by the community. These projects include the running of welfare homes, providing social support for needy families and educational services.

Our Programmes

Our welfare programmes emphasise on the importance of education among our child-residents to ensure they do not miss the opportunity for a better future. We do the same with other residents by helping them to cultivate a sense of purpose and self-respect by providing them with the opportunities to learn a trade/skill useful to them when they leave the rehabilitation centres.

We receive per capital funding from the relevant authority up to 60% of our expenditures.

The remaining 40% is made out through public donations and our own self-help fundraising projects. We have helped more than 800 poor and needy families, 800 children, 600 troubled teenagers and girls in moral danger, 200 senior citizens and 2100 recovering drug addicts.
