*What is this project about?*

Our youth students will be going for their annual Humanitarian Expedition project at the end of this year. This time, they will be going to the community of Rohingyan refugees in Aceh, Indonesia.

Due to the intensified persecution of Rohingya community in Myanmar, thousands have fled to neighbouring Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia on packed boats. Despite successfully fleeing persecution in their home country, these Rohingyan refugees continue to face a multitude of problems in Aceh due to restrictions on their mobility and employment imposed by local government.

*What are the plans for this expedition?*

Through this project, our youth hopes to help improve the living conditions of these refugees through efforts that revolve around Faith, Education and Empowerment.

Among the activities include:
- equipping suitable adult refugees with the knowledge and tools to facilitate teaching at the education centres.
- educational activities to engage with the refugee children.

Minor physical construction works are in discussion too, so stay tuned for updates here.

Our youth are working hard to secure funds. To make this expedition a success, we hope to raise $10,000 for this particular campaign.

The activities are designed with sustainability as the main priority so that the Rohingyan refugees can continue benefiting from it even after the conclusion of the expedition.
