Despite this, our centres continue to serve our elderly clients and help them to overcome difficulties faced that was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Here's one testimony from Mr Ng, one of our elderly clients from Martha Seniors Activity Centre: "The staff there are very friendly. They would help me whenever I have problems with my handphone or other issues. During the COVID-19 Circuit Breaker period, it was difficult to go out to get my meals, so they helped me in applying for meal delivery services."
Our Dorcas Home Care Service also continued to provide free meal delivery services and also medical escort services to the elderly through the COVID-19 circuit breaker period. They literally journeyed with our clients through these tough times.
Our social workers assisted needy families and individuals, who were hit the most by the pandemic, to apply for short-term financial aid through our Emergency Relief Scheme.
In this coming Christmas season, we would like to invite everyone to come alongside with us, to give a gift of love, and to shine a light of hope into the lives of the clients we serve. Your donation, can go a long way.
