About Campaign

ends 31 May 2018, 11:59 PM
This International Nurses' Day, let's appreciate and celebrate the hard work nurses around the world put in to save sight.

Nurses in some of our neighbouring countries do not have the opportunity to undergo training or continuing medical education to upgrade or refresh their skills. Some of them do not even have the chance to learn Basic Life Support or Patient Care.

Funds raised from this campaign will go towards supporting nurses' training including primary eye care to identify patients with eye conditions; referral services; pre- and post-surgery care to ensure that patients get the full continuum of care; management and more.

About the Charity

253 million people in the world are visually impaired. But 3 out of 4 of them - millions - are needlessly blind, just because they can't get the eye care that so many of us take for granted in Singapore. Orbis is an international non-profit organisation that transforms lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness. With our network of partners, we mentor, train and inspire local teams so they can save sight in their communities. We focus on training, capacity building and partnership because we know these are some of the best and most sustainable ways to help improve eye care services. By helping countries build the know-how, systems and support they need to deliver eye care to their people on their own, we work together as one to ensure no one loses their sight to a preventable or treatable disease.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
