About Campaign

Winter in Nepal begins in December and the coldest month of the year is January, where the temperatures drop to 4 degrees celsius.

The poor usually suffer from the bitter cold as they are not able to afford sufficient essentials such as winter clothes and blankets to keep themselves and their family members warm.

Could you imagine leaving home each day in winter-inappropriate clothes to attend full day classes in 10 degrees? This is what students of Jyamdi Government Public School struggle with during the coldest season. Only very poor students receive education from government schools in Nepal, and that is what Jyamdi is - a school for students from poor families.

OHF is helping the students prepare for the coming winter by distributing gift packs in late November / early December 2018. This is in partnership with another organisation which conducts yearly winter clothes distribution for the students but lacks the resources to buy covered shoes for them.

On OHF's part, we will distribute 140 packs of:
- 1 pair of covered shoes
- 1 pair of socks
- Sanitary kit consisting of toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap
- Snacks for 1 day (day of distribution)

For $17.85, you can help to provide protection and warmth for a very poor student who will be very grateful to attend school in basic comfort.

Thank you for caring for people in need!
