About Campaign

Water is the key that connects every aspect of life. No child should get sick or die as a result of quenching their thirst for water. However, in the rural parts of Cambodia, primary school children are drinking rainwater collected by jars or hand-pump wells. The difficulty in the filtration of water using handpump wells and jars might lead to having bacteria and virus, leaving children vulnerable to diseases such as diarrhea.

ACCESS TO SAFE DRINKING WATER UNLOCKS CHILDREN'S POTENTIAL.

By gaining access to safe drinking water, many problems faced by the children can quickly turn into potential - unlocking education opportunities, ensuring improved health and the ability to help fight the disease for primary school children.

OHF operates community development projects in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. OHF builds clean water systems in primary schools. For each supported school, a water system with water pumped from the underground will be built. A UV sterilizer and filter will be installed to destroy any waterborne organisms and purify water. Twenty taps are installed to allow multiple children to dispense clean water into their bottles at a time. Besides helping the primary school children, this will also benefit their family members, as the children bring home clean and safe drinking water for their families.

Each water system costs S$4,600. This will benefit more than 300 young children, as well as their families. Help us to change lives TWO primary schools.

About the Charity

Operation Hope Foundation is a Christian charity established in 2001 in Singapore. We focus on achieving high benefit-to-cost ratio for both our donors and beneficiaries. Hence, we have a very hands-on approach to projects which we own and run. Your donation will go toward supporting the operations of OHF.
