A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR THE FAMILY
When Pragtigya Thing, 10 years old, arrived home after her first computer class, she was so excited and shared with her father about the computer class. Pragtigya's father, Chitra, unemployed, immediately recognised the opportunities which the computer class could bring. Soon after, Chitra began to attend a five-months computer training course sponsored by OHF to upgrade his skills and widen his job prospects.

HOW ARE WE HELPING?
OHF will avail computer and English basic courses for the poor Nepali teenagers and young adults. The classes are held in different villagers, making it convenient for them to attend.
The training will educate the next generation for white-collar jobs. With skills learnt from the course, we aim to develop their confidence, and empower them to choose jobs from a wider range of sector that provides a better salary.
Beneficiaries of this programme are often from the lowest caste in Nepal. Even though Nepal has banned caste system-based discrimination, lower caste groups still face discrimination in rural communities.

There are many more like Pragtigya and Chitra from poor villages who are hungry for opportunities to better their lives. You can play an important part to tackle their geographical obstacles and bring computer skills to them!

$5,319 can enable villagers from the Lalitpur district to attend a computer course.

Thank you for your giving!
