About Campaignends 23 Feb 2021, 11:59 PM
A 90-minute online concert will be held for each benefitting charity to raise public awareness for the work of the charity, as well as to encourage further public donations for the charity.
O'Joy is blessed to be one of the many beneficiary charities.
Our 90-minute online charity concert will feature local singer-songwriter/music producer Wong Hong Mok, local opera artiste Nick Shen, musician and ex-national athlete Eileen Chai, and various DJs from HAO FM96.3.
Amidst the emerging trends of an ageing population in 2004, O'Joy opened its doors and started serving the psychosocial needs of our elderly population via counselling and social work.
In recent years, we noticed the increasing demands for mental health services for young to middle-aged adults. O'Joy acted to fill this gap by starting our BEACON program in 2020. BEACON provides counselling therapy for adults (20 to 49 years old), facing mental health challenges. This is especially needed during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Our programmes are not fully funded by the government. Therefore we rely on the generosity of public donations to keep our services going. This concert will raise funds for our various services, especially the BEACON programme which is totally unfunded.
About the Charity
O'Joy Limited, previously known as O'Joy Care Services, was founded in early 2004 amidst emerging trends of ageing population, by a group of social workers and professional counsellors who recognised the need for prevention and early intervention of mental health issues associated with ageing, and to promote healthy ageing among seniors. We have provided quality professional counselling and clinical case management services to over 5,600 clients since 2004.
In 2019, O'Joy Care Services was awarded the Charity Transparency Awards and Charity Governance Awards with Special Commendation for Operational Efficiency.
From April 2020, we began operating as O'Joy Limited - a Company Limited by Guarantee.
O'Joy continues to be dedicated to serving vulnerable seniors and adults with mental health issues, by providing counselling, case management and health-oriented ageing activities.
Please support us in helping these vulnerable seniors and adults improve their lives through building mental resilience and wellbeing.
