About Us

Established in 2003, Objectifs is a visual arts space in Singapore that is dedicated to film and photography. Our goal is to cultivate original voices in visual storytelling, and to inspire and broaden perspectives through the power of images. We do this by presenting a year round programme of exhibitions, screenings, workshops, talks, mentorships and residencies, aimed at fostering dialogue about visual culture, and advancing the practice and appreciation of photography and film.Objectifs is a non-profit registered charity with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. As such, your donations will qualify for a 250% tax deduction for the year 2019. Every dollar you give helps us raise an additional dollar through the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth's Cultural Matching Fund, so you can make an even greater impact with your donation!

Our Programmes

We present exhibitions, screenings, workshops, talks and residencies, aimed at fostering dialogue and advancing the practice and appreciation of photography and film. Our key programmes include Stories That Matter and Women in Film and Photography, which seek to present new and under-represented voices in image-making, and create conversations. Our developmental programmes and residency platforms, such as the Curator Open Call, Documentary Award, Short Film Incubator, Film Library, support about 70 artists annually, contributing to their artistic and professional growth. Objectifs reaches out to around 40,000 people of all ages through our programmes each year, most of which are free to attend. Your generous support enables us to continue our work in presenting a diverse programme, as well as support the growth of filmmakers, photographers and visual artists.Be part of our journey as we continue working towards these goals in the coming years! - Nurture through mentorship and education.- Create space for new, vital, critical and underrepresented visual stories.- Encourage experimentation to expand the potential of visual storytelling.- Support artistic networks among Southeast Asian visual storytelling communities.- Grow and enhance our accessibility to a diverse audience.- Provide a range of meaningful experiences to our audience.
