About Campaign

Elderly Suicide reached an all-time-high in 2017.

With our ageing population set to rise exponentially, loneliness and a lack of purpose in life will become one of the leading causes of depression and mental health problems in elderly persons.

And it is not just the elderly living alone. Even those living with families, but unable to connect or catch up with them will feel isolated.

By engaging the elderly through daily activities with ready support from counsellors and case-workers when necessary, we can prevent loneliness from escalating into mental health issues and elderly suicide.

Please support us in caring for the mental and social well-being of elderly persons.

Remember, loneliness can affect anyone, including the old.

About the Charity

We are a Voluntary Welfare Organisation that provides counselling services for elderly persons and Community Mental Health intervention programme. With one of the highest ageing population in the world, a significant portion of elderly persons suffer from loneliness, depression and low quality of life. We strive to improve the quality of life of such elderly persons and their family members by helping them overcome their emotional, psychological and social difficulties. Feelings of loneliness and helplessness is the leading cause of depression, causing Singapore's elderly suicide to be at an all-time-high in 2017. We should not focus only on treating problems. Much more can be done to prevent and intervene potential issues before it escalates. Only with proper help and intervention can we help them overcome such difficulties before it spirals into bigger problems that may cause them to be displaced from their family, home or even themselves. We very much depend on your support and donation to continue providing for our beneficiaries. Thank you for empowering us to continue serving elderly persons in need.
