Nozawa Kids - Christmas Gifts
Our Campaign Storyends 31 Dec 2015, 12 AM
Festive Giving - Nozawa kids would like to donate their Christmas presents to the needy.
Greetings from Aden, Faith, Daniel, Riji, Marcus, Xavier, Dylan, Samuel, Joel, Brenda, Audrey, Rachael, Reynard and Raine.
Since December 1958, we have been providing shelter and care for needy and homeless elderly persons regardless of race or creed.
Our current land lease expires in December 2015, and has been given three years plus another three years extension. After which we will construct a new building on a smaller plot of land, for another 30-years lease. The estimated construction cost is $12 million.
Besides the estimated $12 million construction cost for the new building, the Home also be paying monthly rental of $13,505 to the Land Transport Authority with effect from January 2016.
As a small charity with limited resources, we rely on public donations to raise the funds needed for its day-to-day operations and the new building project.
Your donation will go towards our Building Fund so that we can continue our legacy of caring for the elderly, providing a clean and safe environment where they can age in comfort and dignity.
St. John's Home for Elderly Persons is a Charity that provides long-term residential care for needy and/or homeless elderly persons regardless of race or creed.
Due to urban planning and the need to maximise land use, the Home is raising funds to construct a five-storey building, on one third of our existing land area. The estimated construction cost of the new building is $12 million.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new journey of building a new Home for the Elderly, so that our elderly residents will not be displaced when our land lease extension expires.
The Home is a recipient of the President's Award for Philanthropy 2014 (Non-profit).
