About Campaign
ends 31 Aug 2021, 11:59 PMWe are collaborating again with Ming Tan, author of children's book "Near and Far" in last year's CTG activity pack, to put together a brand new activity pack featuring "Clean and Dirty" - a children's storybook to educate children on the importance of keeping clean and reinforcing good personal hygiene habits while at home.
Last year with your support, we distributed "Near and Far" and CTG activity packs to 200 of our children, teaching them how to communicate with their loved ones and maintain that relationship over distance, and that there will always be a way to close the gap.
Help us spread this message of hygiene to the 170 children in our befriending programme! Your donation will help us distribute CTG2.0 activity packs to the children and enable a facilitated one-on-one in-home session by our volunteers. You may also choose to purchase the "Clean and Dirty" book for yourself!
The new activity pack will include a copy of "Clean and Dirty", a DIY soap making kit, instructions on a DIY 'germ' experiment, bubble toy, finger painting set and more.
If you are purchasing for yourself, do indicate your email address in the donation form and we will be in touch with you for your mailing address.
Let's work together to Close the Gap!
*Shipping within Singapore only. Do note that activity packs/books will only be mailed out end June onwards.
About the Charity
New Life Stories was established in 2014 to prevent intergenerational incarceration. New Life Stories is an IPC (Institution of Public Character) that aims to provide children of incarcerated parents with essential reading and pro-social skills to ensure that they are not left behind in their crucial early years of development.
New Life Stories has put in place a holistic strategy targeted at providing support to children of the incarcerated and their families. The programmes aim to provide these children with educational and emotional stability so that they can have a fairer start in school. Their parents are also supported by our customised in-prison programmes to prepare them for their release and to give them the reassurance to successfully reintegrate back into society. New Life Stories also educates and guides the families by providing them with essential tools to be self-sufficient.
All monetary donations above SGD50 are entitled to a tax deduction of 250% of your donation amount.
